Overview

Associate Attorney - Construction
Location: Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Tampa, or Miami

About the Opportunity:

Kelley Kronenberg is growing its Construction Law defense practice and is looking for an Associate Attorney with two to five years of experience to join us in one of our Florida offices. If you want a hands-on role with real responsibility, in a group where your work is visible and your development is a priority, this is a strong next step.

You’ll handle your own matters and work alongside experienced attorneys who will involve you in strategy from the start. The practice focuses on the defense of construction and construction defect claims, so you’ll build a deep understanding of how these disputes develop and how they are resolved. Our attorneys choose where in Florida they’re based, so you can join the office that fits you best: Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Orlando, or Tampa.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Defend clients in construction and construction defect matters, including contract disputes, defect and warranty claims, and delay or scope disagreements.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence, taking on greater independence as your experience grows.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategy and client counseling.
  • Review construction contracts and related documents to assess coverage, liability, and exposure.
  • Communicate regularly with clients, keeping them informed and delivering responsive service.
  • Collaborate with Partners and colleagues across offices to shape strategy and resolve matters efficiently.

Required Education and Experience:

  1. 2 to 5 years of experience practicing construction law or a related area, such as commercial litigation, real estate, or general liability defense.
  2. Juris Doctorate Degree.
  3. Admitted to practice in Florida.
  4. Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
  5. Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-moving environment.

Perks of Working at Kelley Kronenberg:

  • Competitive salary with a yearly bonus
  • Company-paid PPO health insurance, with dental and vision options
  • Generous PTO, including a floating holiday and a dedicated mental health day
  • 401(k) with employer match
  • A diverse, equitable, and inclusive work environment
  • Ongoing support and professional career development
