Kelley Kronenberg is seeking a highly organized and results-driven Associate Attorney – Mortgage Foreclosure Litigation to join our Fort Lauderdale office. This role is ideal for attorneys experienced in Florida foreclosure law, default mortgage litigation, and high-volume case management, particularly those who excel in handling uncontested foreclosure matters from referral through final judgment.

This position offers the opportunity to work within a sophisticated, process-driven foreclosure practice representing institutional lenders and servicers, where efficiency, accuracy, and procedural command are critical to success.


Position Overview

As a Foreclosure Litigation Associate, you will manage a substantial docket of residential and commercial mortgage foreclosure cases, with a primary emphasis on uncontested/default matters. You will be responsible for advancing files efficiently through each procedural stage while ensuring strict compliance with Florida foreclosure statutes, court rules, and investor guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a high-volume caseload of uncontested mortgage foreclosure cases from referral through final judgment and post-judgment proceedings

  • Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, affidavits, and proposed orders in compliance with Florida Rules of Civil Procedure

  • Prepare default packages, motions for summary judgment, and final judgment submissions

  • Drive cases forward efficiently, ensuring timely progression through all foreclosure milestones

  • Communicate with lenders, servicers, and institutional clients regarding case status and required actions

  • Attend uncontested hearings, final judgment proceedings, and foreclosure sales as needed

  • Ensure compliance with investor and regulatory guidelines, including FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, and HUD requirements

  • Identify and escalate contested or complex matters to appropriate legal teams

  • Maintain accurate and timely updates within case management systems and client reporting platforms

  • Leverage legal technology and workflow systems to optimize docket efficiency


Required Qualifications

  • Active membership in the Florida Bar (in good standing)

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in Florida mortgage foreclosure litigation, with a focus on uncontested/default matters

  • Demonstrated experience managing foreclosure cases from inception through final judgment

  • Strong working knowledge of Florida foreclosure procedures, statutes, and local court rules

  • Familiarity with mortgage servicing and investor guidelines (FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, HUD)

  • Ability to manage a high-volume, deadline-driven caseload with minimal supervision

  • Excellent legal drafting skills with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and efficiency

  • Experience with foreclosure case management systems and workflow platforms preferred

  • Willingness and ability to attend hearings throughout Florida as required
