Overview

We’re looking for an HR & Payroll Specialist who takes pride in delivering a polished onboarding experience, supporting payroll accuracy, and keeping HR operations running smoothly behind the scenes.

In this role, you’ll be the go-to partner for new hires, hiring managers, and HR leadership—owning the details that turn an offer acceptance into a confident, engaged employee from day one.

What You’ll Do

New Hire Onboarding & Orientation

  • Serve as the primary coordinator for end-to-end onboarding, ensuring every new hire has a smooth and engaging start

  • Administer and host multi-day new hire orientation, including scheduling presenters and managing logistics

  • Prepare and distribute welcome materials, onboarding schedules, and required documentation

  • Coordinate travel, office logistics, headshots, system access, and training enrollment

  • Track onboarding completion, collect feedback, and help improve the new hire experience through data and insights

HR Operations & HRIS Support

  • Enter, audit, and maintain new hire data within the HRIS (UKG Pro preferred)

  • Ensure compliance, accuracy, and confidentiality across all employee records

  • Support HR technology initiatives, system updates, and internal projects

  • Act as a knowledgeable point of contact for employee questions related to onboarding, systems, and HR processes

Payroll Support

  • Enter and maintain payroll data including compensation changes, time, leave, and deductions

  • Assist with payroll processing, reconciliations, and reporting

  • Respond to employee payroll questions with professionalism and discretion

  • Support payroll compliance related to taxes, benefits, and reporting

What We’re Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience in HR administration and payroll support

  • Hands-on experience supporting onboarding or new hire orientation programs

  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through—you catch what others miss

  • Comfortable working across HR systems and learning new technology

  • Excellent communication skills and a service-oriented mindset

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, professional environment

  • HRIS experience required (UKG Pro strongly preferred)

  • Bachelor’s degree required

Why This Role Matters

This position plays a critical role in shaping the employee experience from day one. Your work directly impacts how new hires perceive the organization, how confidently they step into their roles, and how smoothly payroll and HR operations function behind the scenes.

If you enjoy owning onboarding, supporting payroll accuracy, and being the calm, capable presence people rely on, this role was built for you.
