The Kelley Kronenberg Fort Lauderdale office is hiring! The Kelley Kronenberg Health law division is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its team. This individual will provide legal support and counsel to healthcare providers, organizations, and related entities. This role involves advising on healthcare regulations, compliance, transactions, and litigation matters, while ensuring clients remain aligned with evolving federal and state healthcare laws. Must be admitted to practice law in the state of Florida.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and provide analysis on federal and state healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, and Affordable Care Act.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements (e.g., physician employment agreements, vendor contracts, managed care agreements, business associate agreements).
- Advise clients on healthcare compliance programs, corporate governance, and risk management strategies.
- Assist in mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and other healthcare transactions, including due diligence and regulatory review.
- Represent clients in administrative hearings, investigations, audits, and regulatory enforcement matters.
- Support litigation matters involving healthcare disputes, professional liability, reimbursement issues, and regulatory compliance.
- Stay current with changes in healthcare law and policy and provide proactive guidance to clients.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop strategies that align legal risk management with business goals.
- Maintain strong client relationships and ensure timely, accurate delivery of legal services.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- 2–5 years of experience in healthcare law, regulatory compliance, or related practice area preferred.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulatory framework and corporate law principles.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client-facing work.
