About the Role:
Kelley Kronenberg is actively seeking a driven and skilled Associate Attorney to join our Insurance Defense team in Tampa. This position is ideal for attorneys with civil litigation experience—particularly in first-party property insurance claims or related areas—who are passionate about advocacy and looking to build a long-term career in the insurance defense space.
As part of our dynamic and collaborative legal team, you’ll work alongside experienced partners and litigators who are leaders in their field. From day one, you’ll gain meaningful courtroom experience, develop litigation strategy, and have direct client contact—all while being supported by robust mentorship and resources that fuel professional growth.
What You’ll Do:
Manage a caseload of first-party property insurance defense files from inception through resolution.
Conduct legal research, draft pleadings and dispositive motions, and prepare discovery responses.
Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
Participate in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners to formulate effective litigation strategies.
Negotiate settlements and advocate on behalf of clients in high-stakes scenarios.
Stay up to date on case law and industry trends impacting insurance litigation in Florida.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Active membership in the Florida Bar.
Minimum 2+ years of experience in civil litigation, with a strong preference for experience in insurance defense, first-party property claims, or general liability.
Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
Strong litigation and case management experience, including depositions and hearings.
Ability to manage multiple priorities with keen attention to detail.
A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a passion for client advocacy.
