Overview

Kelley Kronenberg is hiring! Kelley Kronenberg is seeking an IT Support Specialist that is technically skilled with good problem-solving abilities to join the IT Support Team. The duties of this role include being a reference point for all IT-related queries at the user level, responding to user needs in a timely manner, and ensuring the optimal running of all systems, among other technical duties.

 

The Support Specialist includes all aspects of help desk support and end user technical assistance. They must address a wide variety of user issues, including software problems, hardware failures, and network issues. When a user submits a ticket or otherwise contacts the help desk, IT Tech Support tracks the ticket/issue and works to identify the problem using standard practices and their own experience. Once the problem has been identified, they must address it. If it is a software or hardware issue, system support specialists may be required to install or repair the problem software or replace the malfunctioning hardware. If the issue is beyond their abilities, they must contact the appropriate department/personnel (such as a network specialist) or repair service. In addition to computer repairs, system support specialists may be required to troubleshoot other equipment, including printers, scanners, desk phones, and any specialized equipment their organization may use.

 

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

  1. Creates a positive customer support experience
  2. Assist staff with the installation, configuration, upgrade, and ongoing usability of desktop computers, peripheral equipment and software.
  3. Ensure desktop computers interconnect seamlessly with systems, file servers, email servers, application servers and administrative systems.
  4. Entry, update and follow up in IT support request/management system.
  5. Provide on-going support and management of telecommunication systems.
  6. Provide basic training/support in accessing the network, telecom, and use of various software applications.
  7. Provide after hours and on-call support

 

Skills and Competencies:

  1. Ability and desire to provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
  2. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and supporting CITRIX Workspace.
  3. Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, IP phones and printer related issues.
  4. Experience managing Active Directory and MS Azure.
  5. Experience replacing hardware on both desktop and laptop PCs. Experience installing software, patches, and updates on desktops and laptops. Experience troubleshooting basic network issues.
  6. Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  7. Ability to work responsibly with minimal supervision.
  8. Working knowledge of MAC computers.

 

Required Education and Experience:

  1. Associate Degree is required
  2. 2 years hands-on IT support experience
