First-Party Property Associate Attorney | Tampa, FL

Kelley Kronenberg is expanding its First-Party Property Defense team in Tampa and seeking a skilled and driven Associate Attorney with 3+ years of experience in First-Party Property litigation or a related insurance defense practice.** This role offers the opportunity to work alongside top-tier litigators, handling complex insurance disputes while developing litigation strategies, engaging in settlement negotiations, and representing clients in court. Key Responsibilities:

• Independently manage a caseload of First-Party Property defense matters from inception through trial.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses with precision and attention to detail.
• Take and defend depositions of witnesses, experts, and parties, utilizing strategic litigation techniques.
• Advocate for clients in court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials as needed.
• Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys to develop effective case strategies and client solutions.
• Maintain compliance with insurance regulations and evolving case law, staying ahead of industry trends.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and admission to the Florida Bar.
• 3+ years of experience handling First-Party Property litigation or similar insurance defense matters.
• Proven courtroom experience, including motions, depositions, and trials.
• Strong analytical, research, and negotiation skills, with the ability to develop creative legal solutions.
• Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and ability to handle multiple cases effectively.
• A self-starter with a results-driven mindset, capable of working independently and in a collaborative team setting.
