Position Overview:
As an Insurance Defense Associate Attorney at Kelley Kronenberg, you will play a pivotal role in providing top-tier legal representation to our diverse range of clients in the insurance industry. You will work closely with our seasoned partners and senior associates, gaining unparalleled experience and mentor-ship in handling complex insurance defense matters. Your responsibilities will encompass legal research, drafting pleadings, conducting depositions, engaging in settlement negotiations, and representing clients in court proceedings. Open to candidates interested in remote and hybrid schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to provide accurate and well-reasoned advice to clients.
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and settlement agreements.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and contribute to the overall litigation process.
- Prepare for and conduct depositions, witness interviews, and client consultations.
- Engage in negotiation efforts to achieve favorable settlements and resolutions for clients.
- Represent clients in various court proceedings, including hearings, arbitrations, mediations, and trials.
- Stay updated on industry trends, legal developments, and changes in insurance regulations that could impact cases.
- Participate in team meetings, seminars, and professional development opportunities to continuously enhance your legal skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and admission to the Florida bar.
- 2+ years of experience in insurance defense litigation, demonstrating a solid understanding of relevant laws and procedures.
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts effectively.
- Proven experience in handling depositions, negotiations, and courtroom appearances.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- A proactive and results-driven mindset, coupled with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
