Your Role and Responsibilities:
As a Legal Assistant in our Employment Law team, you will:
Document Preparation: Collaborate with attorneys to prepare, review, and ensure the accuracy of vital legal documents including contracts, pleadings, and correspondence, specifically with a focus on compliance with Department of Labor, Homeland Security, Wage and Hour, and EEOC regulations.
Scheduling Mastery: Organize meetings, appointments, and court appearances, ensuring that all schedules are managed with precision.
E-Filing and Submissions: Handle efficient e-filing responsibilities across various government agencies, ensuring all submissions are timely and in compliance with legal standards.
Client Communication: Manage client interactions with professionalism, providing top-tier service and maintaining strict confidentiality.
File and Record Management: Keep client files and records meticulously organized, upholding Kelley Kronenberg’s standard of excellence.
Coordination: Work seamlessly with third-party service providers to enhance our legal operations and client service.
Problem Solving: Approach every challenge with a positive attitude and a readiness to solve problems effectively.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 3 years as a legal assistant. Experience in Employment Law, with specific experience in filing with the Department of Labor, Homeland Security, Wage and Hour Division, and EEOC required.
Education: A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Suite is essential. Experience with Aderant Total Office (ATO) is a significant advantage.
Soft Skills: Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are crucial for success in this role.
